Step-by-Step Setup for Outlook (Windows)
Outlook 2016, 2019, 2021, and Microsoft 365:
- Open Outlook and go to File → Add Account
- Enter your Roadrunner email address and click Connect
- If prompted, enter your password and click Connect
- If automatic setup fails, click "Let me set up my account manually"
- Select IMAP as the account type
- Enter the following information:
- Incoming mail server: mobile.charter.net
- Outgoing mail server: mobile.charter.net
- Email Address: Your full Roadrunner email
- User Name: Your full Roadrunner email
- Password: Your Roadrunner password
- Click More Settings
- Go to Outgoing Server tab:
- Check "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication"
- Select "Use same settings as my incoming mail server"
- Go to Advanced tab:
- Incoming server (IMAP): Port 993, Encryption SSL/TLS
- Outgoing server (SMTP): Port 587, Encryption TLS
- Click OK → Next → Finish

- Open Outlook for Mac

💡 Important Setup Tips:
- Use your FULL email address as the username (including @roadrunner.com or @rr.com)

- Disable antivirus email scanning temporarily if setup fails
Troubleshooting Outlook Setup Issues
Test Account Settings Failing
- Authentication Failed: Verify email and password are correct
