Roadrunner Email Server Settings

Use these settings to configure your Roadrunner email account in any email client or mobile device.

Setup Instructions by Device

For iPhone/iPad

  1. Go to Settings → Mail → Accounts → Add Account
  2. Select "Other" → "Add Mail Account"
  3. Enter your name, email address, and password
  4. Tap "Next" and select IMAP
  5. Enter the IMAP and SMTP settings from above
  6. Save and your account will be configured

For Android Devices

  1. Open Settings → Accounts → Add Account → Email
  2. Enter your full Roadrunner email address and password
  3. Select "IMAP" as the account type
  4. Enter the incoming and outgoing server settings
  5. Tap "Next" and complete the setup

For Microsoft Outlook (Windows/Mac)

  1. Open Outlook and go to File → Add Account
  2. Enter your email address and click "Advanced options"
  3. Check "Let me set up my account manually"
  4. Select "IMAP" as the account type
  5. Enter the IMAP and SMTP settings
  6. Click "Connect" to complete setup

For Apple Mail (Mac)

  1. Open Mail → Add Account → Other Mail Account
  2. Enter your name, email, and password
  3. Select IMAP as the account type
  4. Enter the server settings manually
  5. Click "Sign In" to complete setup

Troubleshooting Connection Issues

  • Authentication Failed: Double-check your email address and password
  • Server Not Responding: Verify server names are spelled correctly
  • SSL Errors: Ensure correct SSL/TLS settings are selected
  • Port Blocked: Try alternative ports (993 for IMAP, 587 for SMTP)
  • Firewall Issues: Temporarily disable firewall to test connection

Important Notes:

  • IMAP is recommended as it syncs emails across all devices
  • Use your full email address as the username (including @roadrunner.com or @rr.com)
  • Enable "Use SSL" for secure connections
  • If settings don't work, try using "mail.twc.com" as the server
  • Spectrum migrated accounts may use "mobile.charter.net" as the server

Alternative Server Names

Depending on your region and when your account was created, you may need to use these alternative server names:

  • Original Roadrunner: pop-server.roadrunner.com / smtp-server.roadrunner.com
  • TWC (Time Warner Cable): mail.twc.com / smtp.twc.com
  • Spectrum (Current): mobile.charter.net
  • Brighthouse: mail.brighthouse.com
